"2.award" for "Emscher Park Overdrive" at the film- and video-festival "Blicke aus dem Ruhrgebiet" in Bochum, Germany - November 28th, 1998
Synopsis / Summary:
Pairs of eyes take a look at us: they tell us their dreams - real documentary dream tales of people living in the "Emscher Park" (the region between the rivers Ruhr and Emscher in West-Germany): tales about tortoises, antilopes, eagles, the universal black and the flood. And we see daytime-scenes of these people: a tram is driving through the former industrial area "Emscher Park" - along apartment houses, shops, bars and petrol stations. Below this surface there is more. Incredible sounds and noise of past and future escort this "Emscher Park Overdrive". But the woman in the red dress keeps her mystery!
